I'm wanting to put a pulley on a WD-45 I have bought. I'm wondering how that plate comes off its not bolted on there so i'm wondering if you loosen the bolt that the pulley hooks up to or if you just pop off the plate.

Are you talking about the belt pulley that goes through the right frame rail? If so the plug in the frame rail just slides out of the hole. However, unless you have the right side of the tractor about 8" higher or more than the left side you are going to dump a lot of the hydraulic fluid out on your feet. The lock bolt that holds the belt pulley in place has several holes to mate with when the pulley is engaged. Each hole is at a slightly different dimension from the end of the pulley barrel. The correct hole to use gives a 1/8" end play at the rim of the pulley when it is engaged.

Close examination of the sleeve and the tractor frame should reveal 'slash' marks that should have been put in by the factory or dealer, prior to delivery, indicating which was the proper hole to use to get proper backlash between the gears that drive the pulley. That backlash gives the freeplay on the pulley.
