Where does everyone buy oil filters for older Allis Chalmers tractors? I buy mine at a local parts store, but was wondering if there is a good online source?

just passing on some info from other AC discussion sites: don't use "napa" or "wix" filters on your AC's. guess they don't have the proper filtering that's needed. just passing it on.

Hi, neither does carquest. I found that one out the hard way, was new to Allis and didnt realise the big difference a filter can make. Just look at the bottom of the filter, make sure it has the cotton batting type material, and make sure you still have the small tube on your filter housing.

Hi, I have found that for the money Fram c159 is about the best for older Allis. I get mine at Fleet and Farm here for 4.27

Generally get mine at Tractor Supply or Orschelm's. Usually run about $5-$6 each for the Fram C-159.

Mark,
We sell Fram C-159's which fit quite a few of the older AC machines to our AC customers. We have a 4 or more special that's on all the time. Drop us a line if interested....
