I just bought an Allis B. It does not have a PTO and hydraulic pump installed. I do have them to install though. I want to install an aftermarket 3 point hitch. Is there anything else I need like a hydraulic tank? I have ordered the manuals for the tractor but they aren't here yet. I have been a Ford person and I'm not familiar with the Allis line. Any advice would be appreciated.

You need a different gasket for the PTO housing. The gasket for PTO with Hydraulics is about 3" higher on the bottom to create a reservoir to hold oil back for the pump in case you nose-down the tractor. There's a picture of it in the parts manual.

Good luck, Charlie

The OEM hydraulic pump uses the transmissiom/rear end oil. I believe the manual reccommends 20W non- detergent.
