I am redoing an Allid d14. I was wondering if there was any convient way to prime the oil pump?

Suggest you call around to the AGCO dealers, Tractor Supply, local auto parts stores, Etc. for prices.

Actually, I get most of my parts for a WD and a WC from Federated Auto Supply, a local auto parts store. Most of the time the local auto parts store meets or beats the catalog prices and AGCO's. The big plus is that I don't have to drive 80 miles to get the parts.

All you really need to do is spin the engine after the overhaul. Fill the crankcase with oil. Remove the spark plugs and crank the engine with the starter until you develop oil pressure.

I place a length of fuel line hose over the oil tube that runs to the head and fill with squirt can intill the pump and lines are full. With the spark plugs out I crank the engine over with the battery untill I get a flow of oil over the rocker arms. Hook the oil tube back up and crank the engine again untill I see the pressure on the oil pressure gage. Puter back tagather and starter up.

Not sure about the D14 engine but if you get a source of vacuum on the oil pressure gage port and crank the engine with the spark plugs removed you can get oil through the whole system very quickly. When the oil comes out the gage port the whole system is full as the gage is the last thing to see oil pressure.
