Is it true that the Allis "B" with the high arched front axel is rare, and if so what kind of money are we talking for a 48 "B" good shape. Thanks, Dan

My Dad has an asparagus special. In the past several years i have only seen a handful that actually look like the picture in the Allis Chalmers Historical book. We have found some differences though. Some had 38" rear wheels and some had "36" rear wheels. Also the fenders might be regular b fenders or we have seen one that had fenders like a WC. There was one for sale in Iowa for 3500.00. Beyond that I can't really give you a what its worth figure.

Does it have the 38 inch tires on the rear? I've seen 1 or 2 sell, can't remember how much.

Field Modifications (Sins of the Farmer) - by Staff. Picture a new Chevrolet driving down the street without it's grill, right fender and trunk lid. Imagine a crude hole made in the hood to accommodate a new taller air cleaner, the fender wells cut away to make way for larger tires, and half of a sliding glass door used to replace the windshield. Top that off with an old set of '36 Ford headlight shells bolted to the hood. Pretty unlikely for a car... but for a tractor, this is pretty normal. It seems that more often than not they a
