Auburn vs Rockford clutches-clutch disc the same?

I had posted this question the other day and got not response. I am refreshing hoping that someone would have the answer or at least a somewhere to go look.

My Father in Law has an HD 9 (actually 3 of them, one parts and 2 runners) that he is working on and he needs a new clutch disc. The one he is working on at the moment has the Auburn style of clutch as opposed to the Rockford style. The parts manual we have only shows the Rockford style and gives the part number 033782 for the disc. I have searched the forums and not found an answer, does anyone know if the clutch disc was the same for both of these style clutch mechanisms or what the part number would be for the Auburn style. As well, would anyone know where one could get a new clutch disc or can the old one be resurfaced? TIA

Thanks for the response guys. I will definitely try these options. I was hoping womeone would know if the part number I had for the clutch disc would be the same for the Auburn style but I will pursue a replacement with these strategies. Thanks again

Why don't you contact an Industrial AC dealer and ask? I've been getting parts and answers that way. Dealer near me has all the parts breakdowns, along with used, new (newly produced) and new old-stock AC industrial parts. I warn you though, the new old-stock AC parts' prices will give you a stroke. Place I've been dealing with is an Allis Chalmers Industrial dealer, which now adays winds up being AGCO and MinnPar. Their website URL is: Link

Don't know if this will work for you, but years ago I needed a clutch disk for a Cockshutt SP combine. Went to an auto & truck parts dealer. The counterman took one look at it and said: "looks like a Ford 10" clutch disk". Bingo; exact fit. You might want to check with some truck parts dealers and with some heavy equipment dealers. AC didn't make that clutch, so some other manufacturers may also have used the same one. Good Luck.
