I can't find a starter for my D17 diesel in the central Arkansas area. Starter # 1113082 Delco. Tractor serial #: D1722045D. Can anyone help? Is there a salvage dealer that I can contact? Thanks.

They have to be out there, its not like its a rare tractor.

What's wrong with the one you have? I assume you do have one. I have had much better luck rebuilding my existing starters, generators, etc. I feel that the rebuilders only replace the parts they absolutly must to get it working again. Then they reuse parts that are 75% worn out, then in no time you need another one. If I rebuild it, I replace all of the parts that are worn or bad, and it lasts alot longer.

I agree with you. The starter on my Gleaner was kaput and we replaced everything inside the housing instead of just the bad parts like a rebuilder would do.
