I bought my first AC, a B, with a belly shredder, and am a novice as far as AC's go (but do have a red tractor and a yellow/green tractor). It has beams along each side extending in front, and dipping down, of the radiator. Are these just with a belly shredder model? Also, it is mag fired, and needs a little tuning to get running. It is not locked up. I got the spark plug/point gap, valve clearances on the tune-up specs page. Anything else I need to know to get this fine little tractor running? Also, the same guy has what he says is a WC or perhaps a WD (with no -45), that I am thinking of getting. Could these letters be correct? He also has about 5-6 AC C tractors around, and may try to get them from him in time. (Am I crazy?) Thanks in advance.

Mark, Sounds like it might be a snow plow mount. Mine goes from the rear differential or axle, to a mount that hangs down from under the radiator. In front of this mount are 4 ears to bolt the plow to. Mine is a great set-up, plows great!! Keep it if you get snow! Steve

THe B did not have a channel down each side as production. they might be part of the "shreader". are you talking about a belly type grass mower, or something else? The B looks very very similar to the C tractor. Is the B the same height to the hood and seat? The did make an industrial B or IB which had the rear alxe housing turned 90 degreees forward so it sat 7 inches lower. It had a C channel from the rear final drives going forward around the radiator. if you need photos, just aks.

Hell no! I don't call that crazy, I call that lucky!! There is a WC model and a WD model along with a WD45. Soooo, could be any of the above. If you go to the pix on the side, you'll see the difference in them. With the mag, if it's a Fairbanks/Morse depending on which model, a "J" series, or "K" series ("J" has a two piece cap & cover) the older versions had a tar coil in them that leak as they get warmer in operation. Sometimes they can cause "fits" with intermitant stalling or cutting out. Other than that, the F/M's have their little quirks, but they are a very good mag and dependable also. We service the F/M mags, and supply parts and info to our customers when needed. As for the shredder, I'm not farmiliar yet with the implement end, probably someone else can answer that question. BTW- Welcome to the land of Orange! Hope you can get a few more!

It has a Fairbanks-Morse mag, but I am not sure of the series. I realized after I asked about the other tractor, that there is a WC and WD, as well as a WD-45 by looking at the pic section. But he says it is a WD. Does this WD tractor have an independent pto? How about hydraulics? Again, thanks.
