I saw a Allis for sale today and didn't stop to look at it. How do you tell the difference between B and C right away without stopping and looking?

Hi Anderson,

It all depends on fast you are moving :o). Seriously, the steering linkage arm that attaches to the gear box will point up on a C and down on a B. Simple as that.

and the steering rod to the front end from the steering arm will go to the radiator bottom on a C, and to the left wheel king pin on a B. Also, if it is a B it must be a wide front end. Mosst were wishbone alxes, some are box type. If it is a narrow front end it must be a C. C can be wide front (box beam type).
