we have chance to by 170 it belongs to a friend he pulled head because it used little oil and thought might need valve seals is there any problems with this kind of tractor he said everything works maybe need rings this is our first a/c we have many other tractors, thanks for any advice also can anyone give me a close cost of this kind of tractor tin work is very good tires average

170 Is the Best Allis ever built. That is my opinion based on one of the strongest, quietist most dependable diesel tractors I've ever worked or owned.

John I agree that it is a good tractor but I would be hard put to decide wich one is the best that Allis built.So to make sure I own the best that Allis ever built I will have to try and buy one of each. I have one myself and do not intend to ever let it go.

I have a AC170 ,but I like my AC185 and AC 220 better. The 220 is the best.
