I bought a CA. I used the live clutch on the side to try it out in the all gears. It had sat inside and has no mousenest visible from bottom inspection hole. It had set about 2yrs since last use. It runs great but I like to find a way to free up the clutch. I have tried to use it while driving around hoping it work. Any suggestions appreciated.

oil has leaked from the rear cran shaft seal and "stuck" the clutch plates. you can push the pedal in and drive around, coonnect to a "weight" and try to drag with the clutch in, bump a tree, etc. you need to remove the starter and spray the clutch and flywheel with degreaser and water. laundry detergent and water in a weed sprayer works good. tie the clutch pedal down and pry thru the starter hole and hole in bottom. wash good with soap. hose out with garden hose when done. after it is clean once, it will not stick again for many years. pipping it loose is the biggest problem.

Identifying Tractor Smells - by Curtis Von Fange. We are continuing our series on learning to talk the language of our tractor. Since we can’t actually talk to our tractors, though some of the older sect of farmers might disagree, we use our five physical senses to observe and construe what our iron age friends are trying to tell us. We have already talked about some of the colors the unit might leave as clues to its well-being. Now we are going to use our noses to diagnose particular smells. ELECTRICAL SMELLS
