I would like to know if the allis mower that was used on the b be the same as the one for the c. I am interested in getting one, but I would like to look for the right one for the b I have. Does anyone have any idea? I could use the help, thanks. ED

I have a C with a mower that the local AGCO dealer say is a B industrial. Nice mower but parts are hard to find. Mine had a broken Strap on the pitman arm and I got the last two available according to same dealer. :)

Hi Ed,

The basic mower is the same for either the B or C. The manual lift mechanism is identical for both. The hydraulic lift linkages are different though, according to the parts manual. There were different early and late hydraulic lift linkages for the B. Presumably these would be interchangeable on the B but would not work properly on the C. The C used a different hydraulic lift linkage and presumably would not work properly on a B.

We used to have both a B and a C and the belly mower with a six foot cutterbar would fit on either tractor.

After about 1941 the belly mount sickle mower was called a BC mower & fits either model. I have an excellent one off a 1950 C. It's complete including the PTO pulley & belt, good working condition. $150. I'm in Southern Utah but will be going through the Midwest the end of August & the to the Gathering Of The Orange in Canada & could arrange to deliver. [435]865-7141 or [435]691-3905.
