D14 advice

OK, this non-mechanic needs some advice. Sometime over the winter, probably late fall, some idiot (neighbor's kid) removed the can from the exhaust stack on my D14. Today when I started it it was only running on 2 cylinders (occasionally 3). I pulled the plug from the front cylinder and got several spurts of rusty water shooting out when I turned it over. I got a little out of the next cylinder, but the two closest to the operator were clean. Compression was good on all but the first cylinder - I got no reading there. Am I correct in thinking I have a vavle stuck open? I hope its not a hole in the piston which is the only other thing I can think of. If it is the valve, what should I do? Pull the head and take it somewhere? I've heard some great things about Marvel Mystery Oil - is that something I could pour in somewhere and hope for a miracle?

I'm not totally incompetent, but I'm not an experienced mechanic. Any advice? Please contact me at [email protected]

The first thing I would do is pull the valve cover off and take a look its probably a stuck valve, you maybe lucky and be able to get its loosend up by pouring oil and working it a little done that many times with that problem and have had good luck getting them to work again

First check the oil for water, if there is you could have a cracked sleave. I`m looking for a D14 engine too, any body got one for sale? [email protected]
