I have a 1957 Allis Chalmers D14. I recently changed the oil and filter. I put 10w-30 in it. When the tractor is cold it runs about 30 pounds and after it has been working for a while it runs 20 pounds or just a shade under. Is this normal or do I have a problem. I would appreciate any help.

Martin,
I have been always taught that it does not take alot of oil pressure to make an engine run. I work for a Kenworth Dealership, and the oil light is programmed to come on at 6psi, and that is for a 500HP Cat. Probably what is happening is once you run the tractor for a while, the oil is warming up, causing it to be thinner..hence the reduction in pressure. I would say if you are running 10psi or above, you should be ok.
