I have an allis chalmers tractor and would like to find out the year and model. I have a few clues; 4 cylinder gas and carb is tagged TSX and 1968. It has a shuttle transmission and can go forward/reverse with foot pedals. It has 4 gears. The hood metal comes off in 2 pieces (1 for either side). Has 3 point hitch and power take off. Has power steering. Rear tires are 16.9 by 24,

I've looked for serial numbers but obviously am not looking in the right place. I think this is a 1968 to 1870 model but am not sure.

Would appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks

I think it is a 1937 B42739 but can't seem to find it. Thanks for your help.

Thanks everyone. I've tracked down the original purchase order with all the details.
This is a Model 615 tractor with a 56 HP gasoline engine. Purchased new in 1970Options include 12 volt system; heavy duty 9"master clutch, hand operated oil bath shuttle clutch; hydrostatic power steering;3 point hitch, 1000rpm power take off; loader assembly with McKee hitch; fully enclosed cab.

It's a nice tractor and I want to keep it that way. Need to tune it up.

What's a McKee hitch?

Sounds like an I400 or I600 which were industrial versions of the D15 and D17.

it's not a I400 because you have to clutch to have forward-reverse motion. It's probably a I600 . It's the industrial version on the d-15
