Hi All, My name is Ron and I'm new at the Allis Chalmers forum. I have restored one tractor and am ready to do another now. The first was a 1940 J.D. A. Now this one is a 1950 or 51 WD, the engine is in serious need of attention, meaning it needs a complete rebuild, the rest of her is fair condition. Anyways I would like to build it up for antique pulling. i pulled with my J.D. but just could'nt compete with the Allis's and Farmalls in my weight class, due to the ease of some mod's that are not that easy on the deeres. I could pull with the stock ones, and was right there with them, but the officials running the Pull, let the slightly modifides pull with us. So now I want to pull with them. I figured since I have to totally rebuild the engine on this one I might as well do it now. I got this one from a friend of mine and He is a true Allis fan, He has 8 of them, and he say's I should go with a D-17,WD45or a gleaner engine but I want to stick with the origanal engine, any help would helpful thanks in advance, Ron

There is a Tractor Supply store in a small town in S. E. Texas; the name of the shop is the name of the town, I think. The old gentleman that runs the store will not have a website nor email, most likely.

Perhaps you are familure with the interesting old gentleman and, importantly, his telephone No. I've lost it. He provided parts for my rebuilding of the 50-15 AC. Regardless, I need parts for an AC engine a friend is working on in Uvalde, Texas. Please advise per a contact(s) for older model AC Parts--pre Fiat. Also, during Fiat.

Kindly,

Mike T. McClure

You can put 45 stuff in a wd block. Same with D-17, and 170.
