How big can you bore and stroke a D-17 gas 4cyl?

We have two WC, one is at 425 and the other is at 450 and both will turn 30% over std and have done so for going on 5 years.

I have seen them taken up to 400 cubes, not running real fast, but good power. Strongest I have seen are the hobby stock class machines in my area, around 300 ci. 5500 rpms, 150+hp for sure!

i have read where the bore is4 1/2 & stroke is 5// with chevy 396 valves
