Found 185D to be sold 3/13. Has hole in block behind the live hydraulic pump on left side of engine. What I need to know, would this be a piston rod hole or something else that I'm unaware of. Can't see in there cause the pump is in the road. What other possibilities would it be. If it's a rod hole can it be patched? Pulled the dip stick and there is no water in the oil. Give me ideas what should be paid for the tractor as is. Tires are good, metals good, tractor hasn't run in 4 yrs. Appreciate any help that can be given ASAP (sale is tomorrow). Thanks...

As cheap as you can get it. $1500 is not out of reason. to rebuild and get another block might cost$2000. Tell us what it goes for. Also if its got 3 pt. and 28" or 30" tires and also if got 2 spd. pto and any other noticeable features.

Just to let ya know....they got 2350.00 for the tractor as it sat....had 38"x15.5 tires on the rear with spin out wheels. 450 rpm pto only. I didn't get it, went alittle higher then I wanted to give for it knowing and not knowing it problems.....

Though the dipstick shows no water in the oil, drain a pint or two from the oil pan, to be sure theres no water in the block. As for the hole in the block, what I would do is drain the oil and drop the oil pan off to see if there is a broken rod, etc.
