D17 runs in all gears but fourth stalls

I have D17 runs in all gears 1-3 but dies in fourth. Also, runs in high gear 1-9 but dies in fourth.

Please help.

Take the fuel line off of the carburetor and see if its getting enough fuel. The resin on the float on the fuel gauge has a tendancy to flake off over time and will clog up the fuel line. My D15 did that and under a load would sputter and fall flat on its ***. This would be the first place I'd look. Keep us posted.
