The CA has live pto and hydraulics if the hand clutch has not been removed or bolted together. It also has the better hydraulics and lift arms, most had the snap coupler system. It has power adjust rear wheels which makes moving them in or out very easy compared to a C. It has a different seat and the front pedestal is different. The CA is a 4 speed tranny where the C is only a 3 speed.

They share the same engine, but the CA puts out a few more horses. Some of the parts in front of the tranny will interchange....I've got a CA engine, front end and torque tube bolted up to a C rearend and tranny. I only had to narrow up the foot rest tube to make it work.

if the c and ca have the same engine using all the same parts it is imposable for the ca to have more horsepower.

A-C discovered that this engine from the 'C' could easily handle more rpms w/out damage. The 'C' typically ran @ 1500 rpm, 'CA' @ 1650 rpm.
I.E. 23 vs. 26 pto/belt horsepower.
Derivitives of this engine were utilized in the 'B', 'RC', 'C', and CA; and that is just the tractors. This engine powered numerous implements as well as pull behind street sweepers, pumps, winch units, amusement rides, etc. Having lived overseas for a number of years, I was amazed when the familiar contours of this engine's sheetmetal caught my eye for the first time in a foreign land.
Tough little girl that will last a very long time with proper maintenance.

So what your saying is that if we just increase the rpm's we will get more horsepower. so what is different between the c and ca that increases the rpm's

I believe the gov'nr set-up, at the least.
Noted your post on A-C site, with another reply on diff. pistons. Makes sense to me.
I have some very detailed dealer manuals and should be able to ref. piston and gov'nr p/n's, if someone had same for 'C' for comparison.
