wd45 wiring diagram timing mark location

I'm trying to put my distributor in and trying to time engine and I can't find the timing marks anywhere..they don't seem to be where the book says they are. Any Help???

Under the clutch housing is a cover plate. Take that plate off and you'll see the flywheel. Remove the #1 plug, put your thumb over the hole and use the hand crank to slowly turn the engine untill you feel air coming past your thumb. Look underneith at the flywheel and you'll see the mark. Get that pointing straight down and you have #1 at TDC for timing.
