I have been looking for a new radiator for my 1957 Allis Chalmers D14. I have not been able to find one. Will a radiator for a D12 work on my D14?? Any help will be appreciated.

Visit AGCO dealer, see coolant capacity of the two engines as a first step. If capacity is equal then look closely at the measurements of the two radiators. Probably will not work.

According to my parts books, they have different parts numbers. This doesnt mean alot since I have discovered some interchangeable parts have had different numbers in the past. This doesnt help you alot, but offering the little help I can. Since there is no straight yes or no answer here, I'd recommend contacting one of the many places that offer readiators for old tractors and ask them. Its free and fast!

I had the radiator for my D-17 repaired at a local radiator repair shop. Got it back in 2 days. Have had no problem in 2 years.

My guess is that it will not be a viable replacement. Since you apparently have a D-12 radiator, why don't you measure it and count the # of cores and if the 12 and the 14 radiators are the same size, then..... The D-12 rad. is the same as a C Allis. My Dad's D-12 would get hot on a hot day running the brush cutter in tall stuff. I doubt you would want to subject your 40 HP unit to one that was a stretch for a 30 HP tractor. Again, measure and count the number of cores and then you'll know.
