I am looking at a D-10 Series III for sale. The asking price is $3800.00 OBO. It has factory 3 point hitch, hydraulics , pto, traction booster t rail rear wheels. Overall in fair shape. The engine appears to run good, no oily residue in the exhaust. But there are several problems. There is a noise in the transmission, possibly a bad bearing. Ther is a piece of strap iron welded around the casting on the underside of the bellhousing where the wishbone from the front axle attaches. The rear wheels have severe rusting at the valve stems from calcium chloride. I would like to know what a fair price would be considering the above. Also, would a Woods belly mower form a model b fit a d-10? Thanks

Sounds a little high for the condition described. Would go for as much as $4000 to $5000 IF had two-range (8 speed) tranny and three spool hydraulics and no obvious problems. As described, not more than $3000,
