I am wondering as to how much horsepower you can put throught that clutch, and it still stay working properly, and if there is anyway to adjust it.

The hand clutch has a big washer, retainer and snap ring inside the assembly that gives the "snap" to the clutch. The assembly has 3 sets of shims where it is bolted together. Assuming nothing is broken, removable of an equal number of shims from each set is how the clutch is tightened up. You will have to remove the battery box etc. and cover to get to the clutch. I use a feeler gauge to check that the clutch is set evenly at all three shim sets. .020 for the two disc WD and .030 for the three disc WD45 clutch.
