I am going to look at 2 AC G I never had an AC before. I did look at pic on this site. And have a few questions. Are these pron to the front end coming off the ground and then over. Do they have hyd,pto? What type of attachment can you put on these? And if i discover after buying these they are beyond repair. Is there a market for the part.

I have a 1954 G Model that I am restoring. It has a bush hog on it which is controled up and down by a lifting devise bolted to the frame just ahead of the steering wheel. This is rusted and I can not free the threaded rod up which is inside a tube. I would like to replace that part, does anyone know where I might buy one? Also I would like to know the correct paint color for the wheels.

Where I live, almost every farmer grew tobacco up until a few years ago. The buyout has stopped almost everyone from growing it, except a few diehards and some of the Amish farmers. When we were kids, my brother and I sometimes helped our neighbor when we weren't busy on our own farm. One farmer we helped had almost all AC equipment. I remember a CA, G, plow, disc, cultivator, and a grain drill with no end wheels, it must have hooked up to the hydraulic lift. The G was used to cultivate and also to plant tobacco. The planter mounted between the front and back wheels. My brother and I planted alot of tobacco on that little tractor.

Michael, The front may come up with a heavy pull but if the pull is hitched to the regular drawbar there is no danger of it going over. Hydraulics were an option as was the PTO. The PTO is not conventional and is by way of a pulley on the left side ahead of the engine. It is for AC attachments or for other belt driven attachments such as pumps and could be fitted with a flat pulley or a V belt pully or a sprocket. Caution: The pulley is part of the seal and takes a special pulley. Don't worry about not having an AC before. The G is more different than other models of AC than most other makes of conventional tractors are. Ed

Yes they are very light in front end a weight is availabile they are excelent cuilivator tractors ther is also a 1 bottom plow for it also a cycle bar mower there may be more i'm not sure ! there is a very good market fot parts
