I have begun to dissasemble and clean my 'B'. I pulled the fuel filter apart and found;
(1) according to the Op. Inst. manual it is supposed to have a "felt filter element"... this is missing and;
(2) three is a screen inside the top of the filter, this is broken in several places.

The filter body, bowl and retaining bail are in very good shape, so can I get just a replacement gasket, screen and felt filter? and if so, where?

Thanx in advance.

Thanx, I'll give ya a call Mon.

I was able to find (1) a screen and gasket kit and (b) a complete filter unit.

The cork gasket that came with the rep. kit was too large and wouldn't allow the bail to get around the bowl.

The bail on the new filter unit stripped it's threads when I was tightning it... BY HAND!

I used the rubber gasket and the screen from the new filter unit to fix the original filter.

You will be hearing from me!
