James, The trick to installing an Alternator on a C or CA with drag link, is to keep the Alternator tight to the engine block. The 10SI Delco alternator because of it's larger body size is a little tougher to install and keep clear of the drag link, than say on a B model. We offer the CS130 "pint size" Delco Alternator with it's smaller body as an option on our 12V conversions for more clearance on the drag link, and it helps tremendously when it comes to space on the link. The other trick is, the bracket you design, needs to lift the Alternator up and over the lower radiator pipe, move the Alternator forward, and put the Alternator in the correct position at the same time for proper pulley alignment, and still be able to adjust the belt. Our bracket will fit either Alternator, and if using the CS130 unit, I designed our lower engine bracket to work with the OEM generator bracket with just a little "tweak" to the top bracket for a nice fit and correct adjustment.
