I have been surfing for 3 hours and can't seem to get to the site I need. I have been looking for a kit to rebuild the engine of my 7080 Allis Chalmer Tractor. Tisco makes the kit. My tractor is a 1980. Do you know if there is a site or sites on the net? If so which has the best p

We have rebuilt several AC engines over the years including the 426 in an AC 220 and an AC 8050. The overhaul kit from the dealer was just as cheap as any after market kit when you include the gasket set which you have to order anyway. We ordered parts from an outfit called TSC one time and it didn't have the right pistons, what a pile of junk. On the other hand we got great service and high quality parts from Don's Diesel. However, the one place that AC is reasonable is on the overhaul kits, plus the gaskets have part numbers on them which makes them easy to identify, since several of them have the same shape.

Why not go to your dealer? I have heard very few good things about TISCO kits, and supporting your dealer may help them stay around for the parts you can't buy from the net. They may offer help if the kit goes wrong. Try that with an Internet site. Probably as cheap, too. If not, only a few dollars higher.
