Mine threw a rod-bearing and I sold it for $800. Don't know if I made a mistake or not, but I couldn't find ANY parts for it, not bearings and not even a gasket set. kind of a shame, it was a rugged little tractor.

Check Danny Bowes with Import Tractor Parts. Has a web site that says he specializes in parts for imported Allis Chalmers tractors, including the ED40. email address for him is oldtractor@renc.igs.net. Haven't had any dealings with him, but saw the information on the unofficial Allis site. Dave
