I see that larger 7000 series tractors. 7030, 7060,7045 are selling cheap and I am looking for a haying tractor. I want a tractor to round bale and run a haybine. Would these be to clumsy or fuel consumption too high to use. Your thoughts? Thanks

Harold, don't forget to look at a 7010, they are the same tractor but have the 301 engine and use 1/2 the fuel of the bigger models..There isn't much difference in power either. About 1 gear difference pulling the big disc.

These are not too big or clumsy. The 7030 would be large enough, but in my opinion, the 7045 is the better tractor. These tractors are not clumsy, and if fact are short-turning due to their short wheelbase.

My son has a 7000, which is slightly different tractor. We use it on the haybine, on the chopper, and on the square baler. It is a very nice tractor ro operate. Tom Davison
