Hi folks. My dad has a 1981 7020 Allis with a powershift transmission. The engine is getting weak and the transmission grinds when you try to put it into range. Cab is all tore up also, from being a dairy farm tractor its life with us. Is this tractor worth fixing up or is it better to buy a different tractor. I know that the 7000 series dont hold its value much. So we dont know what to do. Any replies will be appreciated!

If your 7020 started out as good a tractor as my 7580 is now, I'd get some quotes on the cost of rebuilding everything and see how it compares to a payment book.
