thinking about buying a 7000 allis. I have experience with a 7010 powershift allis but understand the 7000 had a different tranny. what types of trannies did the 7000 have? which is better? will they hold up as well as the 7010? any info will help.

thanks for the info
brian

The 7000 had the 4 speed trans of the 200 but had a 3 speed torque instead of the hi-lo. They work OK but they put a trans brake on it and they are near impossible to shift while you are moving. At least the 190XT's and the 200's you could shift while moving. The early model 7000's (maroon belly) had some trans problems and they had a very angled front end (the wheels had very positive camber) and they changed all that when they went to the black belly. If you can get it for less than $4500 bucks you should be happy.

my 7580 is like that, helps to keep it in low powershift, but that doesn't help with the 7000
