Model B pull-type or mounted plow??

I have a Model B and wanted to purchase a 1 bottom plow. What is recommended, the pull type plow that hooks up to the draw bar or the plow that mounts to the tractor frame? Thanks in advance for everyone's help. Tom

When AC designed the model B, they had the small horse-driven farms in mind. As such, the B was designed to utilize many of the horse pulled implements including the pull type plows to help keep the costs down for these smaller farms. While the pull type plows are effective, AC offered a mounted plow for the B - two way mounted plows were also available. Having said that, I've used a pull-type plow on my C as the size of the field didn't justify the time required to mount the mounted plow and all of the associated brackets (the tractor is used in shows more than farm work). In the end, I'd have to say that its up too the user to decide based on price (many pull types are much more costly than the AC mounted versions in my area), whether or not the tractor will be dedicated to plowing (or other work using the same brackets), and the avialability of both types in your area.
