AC attachments

When I recently bought an AC WD-45, it came with a number of implements including a 2-bottom plow, sickle mower and rear blade. The fellow I bought them from also gave me a pile of pieces to "hook'em up". I understand how a normal 3pt hitch works, but what about all these pieces? I have two spring-loaded attachments that go on the end of the two rear arms---do these have a name? I also have a top arm that hooks to an assembly which bolts to the rear of the tractor to make a three point hitch. Then, I have two longer arms that hook to the spring-loaded attachments and somewhere under the tractor. Any suggestions...??

It sounds like you have a 3 pt. conversion. The spring loaded things are called lift arm latches and they are part of the Allis Chalmers snap coupler system. The other arms and top link bracket sound like a typical 3 pt conversion that is being sold by a number of vendors right now.

The drawbar should have an angle iron that bolts to it that has two pins on either end for the 3pt arms to attach to. This allows the implement to be pulled thru the drawbar and allows use of the "traction booster" system of weight transfer that AC was famous for.

You didn't mention a drawbar - do you have one? It attaches to the bell shaped device under the tractor (snap coupler) and with a yoke (bail) that mounts to brackets under the axle with 2 pins.

If your implements are snap coupler (AC), you don't need the 3 pt conversion arms on the tractor. Just remove the drawbar and the implements attach directly to the snap coupler bell and lift arm latches.
