I would like to know what kind of oil should go in my D-14 motor and how much it takes. Also what kind and how much for the hydraulics, PTO, and transmition. Thanks in advance.

motor originally had 30 wt and tansmission had 20 wt (motor oils). today it is more common to use 10W30 motor oil, same as your truck. the tansmission and bevel gear are same compartment. the hydraulics is seperate. common to use universal trans-hydraulic fluid in both. you can get it at Wal Mart or local farm store. it is a 20wt hydraulic oil. I dont know, but gessing about 3 gallons for the trans and hydraulics. about 5 quarts in motor.

MY D14 MANUAL STATES THAT THE TRANS TAKES 14 QTS OF SAE 80EP OIL. THE HYDRO PUMP USES 9 QTS OF SAE 20, OR AS IS MORE COMMON TODAY, HYDRO/TRANS FLUID. ENGINE USES 4 QTS OF SAE 30 IF USED ABOVE 90 DEGREES. FOR NORMAL OPERATING TEMPTURES USE SAE 20. TODAY USE A 10W30 OR 15W45. BOB
