Since you say the dist cap, rotor, points, condensor, etc are new, bet you hav a wire crosses. Trace all plug wires in firing order to find the 2 that are wrong.

If the carb adjustments don't work, Check timing & take a look inside the distributer and see how clean the points are and if the point spring is weak letting the points float. How good are the cap and rotor, are they corroded or clean, check for strong spark. Broken intake spring? Camshaft off 1 tooth? Just some idle suggestions. Jerry

Sounds like it may be running to lean open up the main jet about half to a full turn and see if them helps if not you may need to rebulid the carb

The cap, rotor, points everything in there is new.
Old, where is the main jet on the carb, is that the L shape screw that sits on the bottom of the carb?

Yes its at the bottom of the carb just turn it out half to one turn and see if that helps, you can also use it to check to see if the carb needs rebuilt if adjusting it by turning it in say slowly with it running and it does not kill the engine then you are looking at a rebuild
