Marvel Schebler Carb

I just bought my first tractor, an Allis "C", about two weeks ago. Within the last week or so, It has started dripping old stinky gas out of the carb. (The BIG problem with that is the tractor is parked in our attached garage with my wifes car!) Tonight I removed the carb, air cleaner, and gas tank. The gas had backed up into the air cleaner, making me think the float is hung up, or leaking. My first question is how do I tell what the carb number is? Second, where can I get a rebuild kit for it? Thanks in advance!

Tim,
We do carb rebuilding & exchanges on both Zenith and Marvel carbs. Also can probably help you out with a carb kit if you still need one. As Wilson mentioned, the brass tag should have a I.D. number on it starting off with TSX- and then a 3 digit number. If you have any troubles, drop us a line, or give us a call. Your MS carb should be either a TSX-154 (AC p/n 222091) or a TSX-305 (AC p/n 222090).

The P/N can be found on a brass tag. The tag is located on the backside of the carb so you'll need an inspection mirror, or you'll need to remove the carb.

Try ebay for a rebuild kit. You may also need a float, not included in the kit.

On my C, water in the bowl froze and collapsed the float.
