First of all, thanks to all that replied to my last post when I was looking for a CA. I bought one saturday out of kentucky. Paid 1350 for it. It is in running/restorable condition with a 5ft. woods mower on it. Which ends up to be great, because I want to restore and work this tractor to mow grass. I am in need of a part that is missing off this CA. The final drive clutch handle is missing. I am hoping someone out there has a CA that they have parted out and has this piece. I do not know exactly why it was removed. I have two ideas. One is the tractor belonged to an old retired farmer that would not stay off the tractor even though the family thought he should and he did not like the hand clutch. The secon d is the final drive clutch is bad or unoperational, but then would the tractor be drivalable if that clutch is bad? Do not know as of yet. I have to get into the final drives to do some brake work anyway so I guess I will find out the answer to that then. I want this tractor to be original, so if any has this hand clutch arm I would greatly appreciate it. Oh, what is with all the hostility being posted out here? Can't we all just get along and enjoy our Allis's?!?!?!?!?

Tony
I have had good luck getting parts for my CA at Sandy Lake Implement in Pennsylvania. They shipped them to me in MN short notice and the parts (transmission and steering gear) were in good condition. Ph. 724-376-2489
website: www.sandylakeimp.com
Good luck.
Jack

This tractor has the option. The arm was taken off for some reason. I cannot get enough leverage to make it operate. I do not want to mess up the threads. Accoording to the manual it is engaged in the forward position, and disengaged when pulled toward the operator. It is in the forward position now, and the tractor drives. I was told today that it is possible to take the axle off the left side and put it in the right side without the final drive clutch on it. I hope that this is not the case with this tractor. I was told they did this to avoid replacing clutch parts. Thanks Tony, but I am still looking.
