service manuals an ebay

First you need to know what series D17 you have. Some manuals are unique to the series and others cover the model or several models. Also there are operators manuals and service or shop manuals. As for the ebay purchasing, I've bought a few and learned a few things. There's a guy in Illinois that seems to be just running copies of AC manuals on a cheap copy machine and stapling the pages together--pretty lousy manuals and he sells them everyday. Guess the copywright laws don't apply? After getting one like that, now I don't buy any unless it's a used or new original. Not to say that all copies are junk, but to be safe, I'd rather buy one with a little grease smudge and an original than one that someone has run a thousand copies of....For my D17, B and C models I bought new ones from Binder Books.
