Which AC models are small, comparable to the 8N or Farmall A or B. Looking for second tractor. Is there a good web page to browse?

The CA would be a little more than an 8N but the Ford has one advantage here. It has a 3pt hitch. The A-Cs can be retrofitted but all the kits I've seen to do this have been $300 to $500. All depends on what you need to do with it. Hope this helps. Brian

In my opinion, the AC B, C, or especially the CA is in the same power range as the 8N Ford. The CA will outwork the 8N any day of the week. A WD or WD45 is such an improvement in power over the 8N that there is no comparison. There is a good small book in the archives on this site that really does a good job of describing the small ACs. Go to article archives and look up the Little ACs. Good luck.

I have a 1948 A-C model C that originally put out about 15 to 20 hp. Not sure how much it puts out these days. I added an after market 3 point and use a 4 foot rotary cutter, a 5' box scraper and a one row tine cultivator on 10 acres. It seems to do quite well. This is my only tractor. If I had it to do over or needed another I would probably go for a WD-45 which puts out about 30 hp and are reasonably priced.

The A-C B, C and CA are the small, older, tractors.

The WD45 puts out 40 horsepower. It's a world of difference between these and an A or B Farmall.

An Allis B or C would be a little smaller. A WC would be in that size range. I have a WC to sell and a B if you are interested. Good luck.

Location is the key factor, here. I'm in Utah, where are you?

Depending on how much money you have, there are several. The Allis Chalmers C, CA, WD, WD-45, smaller D series (10, 12, 14) all are in that range or a little bigger. Try the web page that should be with this post. There are a lot of AC guys smarter than me there.
