I am wanting to install a hydraulic pump on the front of the crankshaft of my wd45 to run extra rams off it, I already have a trip bucket loader on it but need to be able to roll the bucket hydraulicly. Please advise if you have information.

Weld the hub that fits your hyd. pump right into the crank pulley. Insert pump shaft into the hub. tighten set screws. attatch hoses to pump. clamp one hose to frame channel. job complete.

Right. Do all that, and then get ready to do it all over again within a few weeks, when the shaft and the pump get chewed all to pieces because they weren't lined up properly. Just let the pump flop around because it was not mounted to the tractor correctly. Then put it on a consignment auction for someone else to buy.

One option is to get a double V pulley that is used to drive the AC power steering pump, and use a belt drive. You can also use the original pulley, get some machine work done on it----- weld a stub shaft in it, cut it true on a lathe, and use either a Lovejoy coupler, or double roller chain, to direct drive a pump that you mount between the engine and radiator. Accurate pump mounting is critical- need to add another support similar to the front engine support. Additional info should be in archives.
