I converted my D14 to 3-point without one of those spendy kits: 1) You have to go out and buy (2) lower arms - (catagory 1) 2) You also need to pick up either (2) arm links to attach the lower (3pt) arms to your upper (factory 2pt) arms. You can instead buy two heavy hooks and (2) 14" heavy chain lengths instead of the arm links - this is less money, and allows you to adjust arm height easily by changing the link positions. 3)Bolt the hooks to each upper arm, and the chain to each lower arm, then hook each chain through the upper hook to the desired height. 4)The real beauty: pull the two quick-release pins on the rear of you drawbar frame, as though you are going to remove it. Replace these pins with appropriate-diameter drawbar pins, having slipped the lower arm eyes through each side, respectively. 5) You now have readily-removeable lower 3-point arms, almost looks like a factory set-up. As for the upper link, you are on your own. With this 3-point setup for my D14, it really handles my 7' blade well for all heavy snows, as well as blading dirt, etc. I also use it for my 5' brushcutter - works great, and looks original.
