How to determine what N62 motor I have

I just picked up this little G this weekend. This rig does not have the original motor but it does have an N62. Where can I find out what motor this is so I can get parts as needed.

With the deal I got front and rear cultivators and PTO Belt Pulley.

The N62 came in several different versions depending on the application. The differences were the water outlet location in the head, the starter location in the block, the pan dimensions and if I remember correctly it was only the depth of the pan that differed and there were two styles of rods offered. But with all these versions all the gaskets interchanged, one set fit all. The rod bearings were also interchangable with both rod versions of rods offered. There may be more versions then the three I described, the N62 was used for several different applications. I forgot that some came with oil filter and some without. Some AC "G" came with an oil filter and some without and why they ever did this I have no idea? Hope this helps.

I also would like to know what the differences are. I have a G Allis (proper engine) and a MH Pony that also has the N-62 engine, but they are not the same external design. I assume all the internal parts are the same??? Jack

The motor that came in the G was a Continental 62 cubic inch, 4 cylinder motor. I guess it was call an N-62. There are several places to help you with parts...one of them is Norm's Toys at 574-342-4545. I think he's there from like 9 am to 5 pm. Good guy to work with.
