I have a B engine I'm in the process of rebuilding but haven't had a chance to work on it for 1 1/2 yrs. It is in the barn but rust has formed on the cylinder walls. What is the best way to clean these and any other parts that may have rusted.
Thank for your help, Jerry

I would have to understand your meaning of rebuilding and wheather or not the cylinders were new or the ones that were in the tractor. Eather way they need to be honed with a cylinder hone using lots of diesel fuel to wash out the rust and fine hone stone particals. If you do not wash as you hone you can not only get deep scratches in the cylinders but the stones will load up uneven and can wash out the cylinder walls so that they are not true.
