Would you be interested in selling the LPG conversion complete with hoods etc. if you convert yours to gas? Please respond.

Hi, I believe your d17 has a 4 cyclinder, the 262 is a six and that is what is in the d19,the hoods are longer and taller, this means you would have to incorporate basically all of the sheet metal off of a 19 and the gas tank is much larger on the 19,not to mention frame rails, steering rod and throttle linkage. We have a 19 and a 17 seris 4 even though they look similar they are very diffrent. Your best bet would be to find an older 17 to get your parts from and stick with a four cyclinder. just my 2 cents. Bob

You can use the sheetmetal, rails, steering and linkage parts off a D17 diesel as they use the same 262 6 cyl engine block.
