Painting Primers

I have a model G and 5 implements that I want to restore. I plan on restoring the cultivator first. My biggest question is what type and color of primer to use? I have read a few articles of the colors of AC orange, but any additional hints would be appreciated.

I am located in Roseburg Oregon.

Get a lacquer based automotive primer and a gallon of lacquer thinner. It dries fast and makes a good base coat. It usually comes in red oxide and gray. Most people use the color that most closely matches the color of the final coat (color). Red Oxide would probably be best for an AC..... ..... ..... ...RP
