Sorry about the reply delay, my computer crapped out. Thanks for all the suggestions to correct my miss problem, I replaced all the electrical components on the tractor, and it seems to be a lot better. I still can,t find any timing mark on the fly wheel, if I remove the small plate on the bottom of the bell housing, all I can see is the pressure plate. Any body figured out how to time with a timing light? Also need to know if anyone has converted a narrow front end to a wide one.

I would bet the timming marks are there, just hard to see because of rust or crud. You may need to turn it over very slowly, moving the rum of the flywheel only an inch or two at a time, cleanning and looking. When you find it clean it good and put white paint in the marks or a white spot with the mark in the center.
