New to allis but prices seem reasonable. Would a 7000 series tractor be a good choice for haying. Dependable, good cab, quiet, shifting, wet clutch? Looking at 7000, 7010 7020 etc. Thanks

I would recomend a 7010 or 7020 over the 7000. The 7010 and 7020 were offered with either a power shift or power director transmission and they both used the same basic chassis as the rest of the 7000 series tractors up through the 7080. The 7020 is rated at 123hp and the 7010 at 106. The 7000 is also rated at 106hp, but the 7010 took the place of the 7000. The 7000 chassis was similar to the model 200, but it replaced the 2 speed power director with a powershift 3 speed range. I have herd that 7000s had a lot of problems with this.

i have a 7010 pd, it works great with my round baler. and it doesn't use much fuel. a very good all around tractor. plus the cab will support the whole tractor in a roll over. i think their cabs are the strongest on the market.
