hd15 dozer 1961 model

I just bought this allis dozer. Only thing wrong is the engine misses. seems like number 3 cylinder does not make any difference when i loosen the injector line. it was moderatly overhauled 2 years ago before i got it and the heads were supposedly rebuilt. 3 injectors were rebuilt and the other 3 were tested. it holds great oil pressure and temperature is normal. Could use some troubleshooting tips and ideas on this. I have'nt had much time to troubleshoot this problem yet but i'm not going to work this machine till the problem is fixed and its running smooth. appreciate any info, thanks ron

Ron, when you loosen that fuel line do you get good fuel pressure coming through? You can tell if there's good pressure there or not when you loosen them. If you're getting about the same pressure (or mess) from that line you do when you open the others, chances are your fuel pump is all right. You'd want to check compression if you think you're getting the fuel. May just be a leaking or stuck valve, most often stuck. God Bless.

would check the valve clearance, but the fuel pump most likely needs rebuilding.
