I relpaced a frost plug in my WD45 head. I needed to remove the metal shield that sits on top of the rocker arms. When I put this piece of tin back on. Do these four bolts need to be torques? If so , what would the foot pounds be? I know when I put the valve cover back on it is not necessary

appreciate you help!

Dave

Mr. Dave, the factory service manual cautions against tightening the valve cover nuts too tightly as it can be "crushed," and should not be tightened to the point it contacts the head. If it begins to "cave in" up top that's too tight. The torque is listed as only 10 - 15 ft. lbs. The rocker arm supports are listed at 25 - 35 ft. lbs. Hope this helps, and Happy Thanksgiving. God Bless.
